Midweek meander.

I've been meandering this week through the works of Italian artist Fabio de Poli, born in Genoa in 1947 he moved to Florence where he studied art, specialising in advertising graphics. His practice as an artist is wide and varied but I have decided to focus on a favorite subject area of mine, collage.

These wonderful collages were made to illustrate the children's book 'Notte di Luna' (night of the moon) 2004. For me they are enchanting, both sophisticated and playful.

Such a simple idea taken to a great level and with fantastic effects.
The paper collage reminds me of Charlie and Lola.
