Thread, wood and nails!

This complex and interesting work is from and artist called Gabriel Dawe, he is from Mexico but now lives in Canada. The work consists of Guttaman thread, wood and nails, the intensity and the blending of colour is amazing, it makes it hard to believe that these installation pieces are constructed with such simple materials.

These shimmering, 3 dimensional installation pieces are huge and stretch from floor to ceiling, I must say that I found myself wondering how many miles of thread each one took!

I agree they are very tactile, textiles have that effect.
